You want to transfer contacts from sim to iPhone quickly, please see this post to do it.
To import your contacts from sim to iPhone, do the following steps:

Step 1: Go to Settings.

Import contacts from your SIM card to your iPhone 0.png



Step 2: Select Contacts.

Import contacts from your SIM card to your iPhone 1.png


Step 3: Click on Import Contacts on Sim.

Step 4: Select the area where the contacts are stored.

Wait, you can actually do that? I mean, i don't even have an iPhone (yet), but i still didn't know that was an option. That's so useful, frees the memory card so you can store other important stuff. Also it's a lot safer considering how easy memory cards die out, it's just crazy.
Can you just tell me one think that i would love to know?
How safe is it to store contacts on iCloud? I don't have much experience with it and i was just wondering how safe is it and what are the chances of things going downhill with that decision?

It is hard to happen for your memory cards and of course it is just an option beside using iCloud to store contacts. I used iCloud to store contacts and you also can use this way because it is faster and easier.
