Best budget iPhone?

What is the best version of the iPhone currently that you can buy for let's say less than $300? It doesn't have to be new as long as it is well kept and in good shape
I am asking because i am a bit short on money and i really love what iPhone devices bring to the table, so i would really love to own one myself. It can be iPhone 4,5,6, whatever you think is the best for that money. Feel free to post specifications of the phone along with it's price, i would really appreciate it. The iPhone SE is how Apple defines a budget smartphone. It is near your price range of $300. I think I last saw the 32GB variant at $349. You can check if they offer a 16GB one and see if you are satisfied with the price.

I can't really say as I got mine from my fiancee, but I would recommend I previously owned.iPhone 6.You can get a used one for like 200-250$ and it is really not that bad even though generations came after that one.
I stick with older phones since I do not hurry to buy them each year since they do little on updates, there is no need to have a new iPhone every year if you ask me.
