I have these annoying apps on my phone. They are not exactly annoying but I really don't use them, like Facebook, Youtube etc. I wanted to delete them, like permanently but I can't. When I looked up the info of those apps, it just gave me two options: FORCE STOP or DISABLE. Does any of you know how to uninstall those apps?

Which smartphone are you using?
Can you share a screenshot about your unwanted apps that you want to delete?
FORCE STOP or DISABLE will not help you to remove them from your smartphone. The best way is uninstall them and I am sure your smartphone will have this function, but first, we need to know which device you are using.

I'm guessing you are using an Android phone. If you see a Disable rather than Uninstall option then you are not allowed to delete that app. However, by disabling it you prevent it from running and using system resources. If you find something doesn't work properly as a result, revisit this page and click the Enable button. If this does not help, try going to Google Play, browse the app you want to delete, but rather than pressing the Install button look for the Uninstall button (reverse installation).

Yes, I am an Android user. I tried going to Google Play but it still didn't give me an option to uninstall it. It's just "UPDATE" and "OPEN".

Try revoking the administrator access. To disable an application's administrator access, go to your Settings menu, find "Security" and open "Device administrators". See if the app in question is marked with a tick. If so, disable it. Now go to your apps manager – the application should now be uninstallable.

If you can't still delete it, it means it is a bloatware which is built-in. The only way to remove this is by rooting the device.

Hi there, I think your problem may me that the apps your trying to uninstall are built-in apps. These apps where factory installed that's why there is no uninstall button.

What you can do is delete all the files pertaining to the apps you want to uninstall and empty your cache. That should solve your problem.

I had this same problem a while with my android phone I needed to delete my GPS app and install a new one since it wasn't functioning properly but find no option for it, checked online and found out it was inbuilt and I couldn't uninstall but to effect a change I just needed to upgrade it but if it was installed by you, delete the files and clear your cache and the problem will be fixed.

GPS and other location services are killers of the speed and battery.
Since there is no reason for you to use them that often, disable them and use them only when needed.
Check the apps running in the background and those who automatically turn on when you turn on your phone for a better battery life.
Keep your phone updated, too, of course.

This is how you disable an app you must go to settings then go to applications manager click an app that you want to disable or uninstall.

You might want to add those pictures in the thread as full images since the look is better and it makes your post more useful.
When attaching a file, press ''Full image'' and your picture will be transformed into a thread with full size, instead of keeping them like attachments where we have to click on them in order to see them whole.
Just a nice tip if you are looking to post more!

If you don't want to have an unwanted apps you must turn off the unknown sources on your phone setting.Turning this off helps your phone safe and away from virus attacks.

You can delete downloaded apps by simply tapping on app that you want uninstall
Another way to delete the apps that are permanent is to force stop as it will tell you its a big risk to uninstall them it will make your phone "misbehave ".
You can disable apps that came with the device by ;
1 go to settings
2 click on the apps
3 click on the app you want to disable
5 tap disable

I think I just press the icon of any of those pre-installed apps and then drag them to the top of the screen, where the delete option is. It worked for me with Facebook, so either I have a setting turned on or off, or my phone is so outdated that it can still do this so easily.
