Nougat Issue with Third Party Clocks and Timers?

Hi,
I just recently purchased an Oppo A71 smartphone last December. While I'm content with the performance and features of the phone I'm having
issues when using third party alarm clocks.

When I used third party alarms or timers like the the Google clock or the Multi Timer Stop Watch, it seems that I never receive notifications when their alarms activate.
From what I've read about Nougat, the Doze feature puts application in a "Dozed" state when the phone is on standby or in sleep mode.

I've already set the applications above to not go into "Doze" mode by turning off the following settings in the "Energy Saver" settings of my phone:

Unfortunately, the alarms still do not ring on their set time. Do you think this an issue with my phone, Nougat or the phone application?
I would like to hear your thoughts if any of you have experienced this kind of issue and the solutions the you have done to resolve it.
