Are Google and Android the same company?

When we talk about Android, we are talking about a Google OS, but not about their phones. The devices designed by Google are manufactured by other phones companies. This is why Google phones and Android phones are not the same; they are manufactured by a different company, but they are made by Google.

To make it clearer, Android is an operating system developed by a company called "Google". It's an operating system just like WIndows (by Microsoft), and iOS (by apple).

To answer the title of the post directly, "Are Google and Android the same company?", no they're not. Because Android is not a company and Google is the developer of Android.

I have to agree with your posts. Google is the company that makes the Android OS.
Google also makes its own smart phones which is the Google Pixel.
