I'd go with the Android phone through and through. I have used iOS devices before and I don't like it. I think that you should use the one with your preferred operating system. If this was android vs android I could help you decide more. I guess a major consideration for the mass consumer is if the majority of your friends use iMessage. If so, go with iPhone. It's just my personal opinion though.
