In some cases, you need to know the exact RAM specifications of your computer when checking recommended video game system requirements, when buying a new RAM, or if you want to buy the same model of RAM that you have.
Here are some general and common ways to check the RAM of your device.
Option 1: Check through Computer Properties.
For Windows 8 or later, right-click the This PC -> Properties icon. Similarly, on Windows 7 and earlier, go to Start -> right-click My Computer or right-click the My Computer icon on the desktop and select Properties to check the specs.
You can easily see the RAM information as shown below:
Method 2: Check the computer information with dxdiag command.
First press Windows + R -> enter dxdiag -> press Enter or select OK to open.
You check the RAM information in the table that appears.
Method 3: Check with the msinfo32 command.
Similarly press Windows + R -> enter msinfo32 -> press Enter or select OK to open.
You pull down the RAM test item is okay.
Method 4: Use the CPU-Z software.
You can go here to download this software for installation and use for the machine.
After installation is complete, please restart the CPU-Z software- > select the Memory tab to check the RAM on the computer.
CPU-Z shows more specific RAM parameters. For example, in this RAM specifications above it shows:
- Type: RAM (DDR3).
- Size: RAM is 8GB.
- DRAM Frequency: RAM speed is 671.2 MHz.
These are some of the simplest and most common ways to check your PC's RAM and some other hardware information.
I hope this guide is useful. Good luck!
