So this is just purely informational, but what is, in your opinion, the best Android phone when it comes to specifications, durability, reliability, but for a very affordable price.
I am talking about the so called "budget phones".
I was just wondering since these days everyone is spending $800 - $1300 for a phone, like their lives depend on it. But i think you can get a really high quality phone for a much smaller amount of money. What do you people think about this topic and if you could chose, let's say 10 best budget phones, what would you chose?

Thanks in advance :)

Wait a second, are those prices right, actually legit? :D
It's hard to believe considering how ridiculously strong these phones are.
I am actually in disbelief. The fact that i paid my phone about the same money when it came out, and the fact that it is like 6 times weaker than the weakest phone on your list, just drives me crazy.
That ASUS ZenPhone has got to be mine. 5000mAh battery is insane, also 4GB RAM, that's more than my laptop.
Damn that is a good list, brother :D

Oh wow, now that is some next level high tech stuff! How often were you in a situation to use those 3 camera features? I mean, would it be useful for just regular photo taking and just normal everyday things? 8GB RAM on a phone is the most ridiculous thing i have seen in a while, that is so crazy :D
Glad to hear that the battery can last for a whole day, i'm not really a huge gamer so that would be really good for me, also the phone is absolutely gorgeous so i'll check it out, definitely :)

I don't need a new phone right now, but wow, that Asus looks really sweet! The Tango support is fascinating, and I can see how it could be useful. I'll definitely keep an eye on this when my current phone finally gives up the ghost.

What is your current phone that you are using? You most definitely should keep an eye for the phones that are listed in this thread. I am in the exact same situation as you are and i am also extremely interested in these phones, but i cannot decide yet. I am getting closer to being able to afford a solid phone, but the definite decision is the problem now since i don't want to mess up and buy myself some bad device :D

Hello, I'm an owner of a Motorola Moto G5 which I paid for 159€ last year in June and I really like it! Performance is very smooth, 1080p resolution, an Octa-core 1,4 Ghz CPU, has latest security updates and stock fresh Android and soon Oreo update will hit this phone too, if Lenovo doesn't change its mind. My variant is a 2GB RAM version, but it's still great!
The specifications are:
Resolution: 1080 x 1920 pixels, 16:9 ratio (~441 ppi density)
Protection: Scratch-resistant glass
OS: Android 7.0 (Nougat), planned upgrade to Android 8.0 (Oreo)
Chipset: Qualcomm MSM8937 Snapdragon 430
Internal: 16/32 GB, 2/3 GB RAM
CPU: Octa-core 1.4 GHz Cortex-A53
GPU: Adreno 505
Battery: Removable Li-Ion 2800 mAh battery

My personal downsides are the big screen bezel (~65.4% screen-to-body ratio) and the camera, but keep in mind that this phone is cheap so don't expect all-excellent features.
There's also a superior version called Moto G5 Plus which has:
Resolution: 1080 x 1920 pixels, 16:9 ratio (~424 ppi density)
Protection: Corning Gorilla Glass 3
OS: Android 7.0 (Nougat), upgradable to Android 8.0 (Oreo)
Chipset: Qualcomm MSM8953 Snapdragon 625
Internal: 32/64 GB, 2/4 GB RAM; 32 GB, 3 GB RAM
CPU: Octa-core 2.0 GHz Cortex-A53
GPU: Adreno 506
Battery: Non-removable Li-Ion 3000 mAh battery
(The red text is intended to show the different features compared from the Moto G5.)

As you can see, Moto G5 Plus has better specifications but costs about 80€ more, but both phones are great if you're low on money.

Video for the interested: "Moto G5 vs Moto G5 Plus: What's the difference?"

2GB RAM and an octa core for $160?
Maybe my country is messed up, but this is the first time i am seeing something like this. I actually had to wipe my eyes to make sure i didn't misread :D
Both Motorola Moto G5 and the plus version are absolutely ridiculous when it comes to performance!
So you are saying that you are happy and content with the way the phone has served you so far? That's so cool, i will definitely check it out.
Great proposition, thanks :)

Xiaomi Mi A1. Coming at $203 is a bang for buck midrange smartphone. Here is its specs.

Display: 5.5" 1080x1920p
Processor: Octa-core 2.0 GHz Cortex A-53
OS: Android One
RAM: 4GB
Storage: 32 GB
Battery: 3080 mah

The best thing about it is its camera. It takes great photos with very good depth of field. And it is considered as the best midrange smartphone of 2017.

I am absolutely baffled by how cheap these new phones are. I mean, i paid more for my Lumia 735 when it came out 4 years ago, and it's absolutely incomparable to this monster right here, which is even CHEAPER. How good is that brand, though? I haven't heard much about Xiaomi phones so i am not sure about that, it almost seems too good to be true, care to elaborate on that?
Other than that it's an absolutely beautiful phone and i will definitely check it out, thanks a lot :)

Its actually pretty good. Xiaomi is a chinese smartphone manufacturing company. It is known to produce high quality, low priced smartphone. Not only that, they also give decent specs for their phones. You may not have heard of it that much because their main market is mostly in asian counties.
