Xiaomi Android phone?

Can anyone introduce me to the Xiaomi Android phones? I have basically only ever heard the name of the brand, but i know absolutely nothing about these phones, nor have i ever seen them. Some detailed explanation would be absolutely amazing since they sound really cool. And they are also Android so i guess they are easy to sell on the market since the Android is the most popular OS and probably the most well respected one.
