Hello. Newbie here! Is there anyone here using a rooted device? What would you get if you root your phone? Any opinion and advice would be appreciated!

Hi there,
From what i know there's a lot of tweaks you can do if you root your device. I have done it once on my old android just to install an app that is incompatible to the phone. Some do it to speed up or adjust some features. But of course its not good at all, your phone is at risk if rooted. Some system files could be damaged. Also imagine a root tool having control over your phone, scary.... Altering the manufacturers setting could lead to phone damage . Anyway i only tried it out of curiosity...

Rooting a device is solely to have a control over its system. When you do this, you forfeit the warranty and maybe destroy it even. Manufactures designed them entirely to avoid this process. It is better if we let the phone work as it is.
