There are now many ways you can hide content on Android devices and make them inaccessible by others. If you already have an Android smartphone or tablet, you can follow these instructions to hide files on your device.
Android does not have a perfect option to hide the content, so you will use a third-party application called File Hide Expert. This app allows the user to hide and unhide content on Android devices
Step 1. Install File Hide Expert from the Google Play Store.
Step 2. The first time you open the application, there will be a message saying that there are no hidden files. To add a folder or a hidden file, simply click on the small folder icon available in the top right corner.
Step 3. On the next screen, you can view all your files and folders. To add a file or folder to the list, just click the plus sign next to each folder.
Add files to hide
Step 4. Once you have added the items you want to hide in the list, they will appear on the main screen. Now hit "Hide All" and all selected files will be hidden.
Hide the file
As such, the files you select are hidden and they will not appear in the File manager. If you want to show files that you have hidden, just open the File Hide Expert application and click on the "Unhide All" button. It will unhide all existing files in the list and these applications will again be available in the file manager for you to access.
Set a password for your hidden files
To prevent someone from accessing your hidden files, set a password to prevent them from doing so. Here's how:
1. Launch the File Hide Expert application and press "Menu" and then on "Settings".
Go to Settings
2. Check the first option is "Enable Password".
Enable Password
3. Then click on the second option "Change Password" and enter the password you chose. When done, click "OK".
Change the password
The next time you start the application, it will ask you to enter a password so only you can enter the application if the correct password. Security is always a concern for most smartphone users and applications like File Hide Expert, it will help you hide things you do not want to share.
Hope it helps!
