Rebooting Android will help your phone reboot the system, turn off the applications that are using, make the phone operate stably and smoothly. This post will guide you how to restart Android phones of many brands.

Method 1: Press and hold the power button (Use for all phones)
Just hold down the power button until the bulletin board appears and select Restart on your Android phone.

Some products do not support restart feature, you can Turn off the power and then re-open it.

Method 2: Restart by hard key
As mentioned in the method 1 above, you can use the key combination to fast reboot in the case your phone is crashed or frozen.

Samsung, LG, Huawei, Asus:

- Keep the power button until the device is off (about 7-10 seconds), then about 1 minute after restart by holding down the power button.
Or you need to hold the power button combine with volume down button until the logo appears.

Sony, HTC:
- Keep the power and volume up button until your smartphone is off, then about a minute after restarting by holding down the power button.
- Some Sony devices (eg, Xperia Z2) have a dedicated button located just next to the sim card slot for reboot.

Motorola, Nokia:
- Hold the power button + volume up (or volume down depending on the device) until your smartphone is off, then about 1 minute after restart by holding down the power button.

Oppo and others:
For Oppo depending on OS version of Color OS you can use the key combination: "Power" + "Increase volume" or "Power" + "Volume down" to shutdown, other similar companies .

Method 3: Remove battery and reinsert it

If your smartphone has got a removable battery, you can remove battery and reinsert it to reboot in case of emergency.

Good luck.

So what exactly does reboot do for a phone? What are the benefits and are there any negative sides to it? How does this help a phone let's say increase performance, speed or help it in any way possible?
Also what if the reboot doesn't work, or if it makes the current situation even worse than what it already is?
Let me know what you think, would be really happy to receive an answer :)

There are only two simple steps to reboot your Android phone.
1. Hold the Power button of your phone for about 3 seconds.
2. A pop-up notification will show and you can see there the word "Reboot", tap that and your smarthphone will be rebooted. Wait for a few moments and your phone will start up automatically.
