The Cubot A5 smartphone comes with a 5.5 inch FHD LCD IPS display with full HD 1920 × 1080 resolution and 16:9 screen ratio. It is powered by the octa-core MT6735 accompanied by 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage which can expand up to 128GB. Based on my research Cubot phones where first introduce by a Chinese smartphone manufacturing company "Kubot" way back in 2015. They are known for its good quality and the functionality of the smartphones produced.

My first impression upon seeing the newly release CUBOT A5 CLASSIC is kinda nostalgic, it brings back to the "old days" classic phones, when bezel less screen is not yet a big hit.

Made from high quality polycarbonate and metal, it is available in 2 colors, deep blue and gold, which is fairly ordinary and typical and makes it less attractive to young generations.

A fingerprint reader below the display are combined with not very modest scope of the screen, the absence of a double chamber. There are no complaints about the OGS-panel itself. The color rendition is close to natural, the brightness and contrast are sufficient for almost any lighting conditions, the resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels provide excellent picture detail. Unfortunately, the last feature of the IPS-screen negatively affects the performance of the device.

One of its major flaws is having the outdated Mediatek MT6753 processor, even with the 3GB of RAM and the Mali T720MP3 video accelerator, is not enough for the truly smooth operation of demanding games in FullHD. Storage of applications, collections of music albums and video files is provided by the internal storage in 32GB ROM and a separate slot for MicroSD cards.

According to the reviews the camera of this smartphone is way to low to satisfy the selfie and the photo addicts. Its main 13-megapixel camera is able to please the buyer with high-quality photos and videos only during the day, in clear weather. Other shooting scenarios for the camera are unfavorable: noise appears, the number of parts decreases. The 8-megapixel front photo module is quite ready to make a nice looking selfie, but also in the right light.

The 3000mAh battery capacity guarantees more than five hours of active screen time, which is difficult to consider an excellent result. Android Oreo , OTG, 4G which I would say will be the A5 strong points
