BOE is a significant force in the AMOLED market in China. Therefore, the company's screen has been used on the top devices of Chinese technology firms in recent years.

Recently, BOE announced that it plans to build a 6th-generation AMOLED production line in Fuzhou with a total investment of about 6.8 billion USD.

In its press release, the BOE said it had signed an agreement with the Fuqing city government - where the company plans to build a 6th-generation AMOLED factory. At this factory, they will produce screens high-end smartphones as well as other emerging screen technologies.

Under the investment agreement, BOE's 6th generation flexible (AMOLED) screen will be 1500mm×1850mm, with an expected monthly output of 48,000 units.

The BOE said it would raise $ 1.6 billion in registered capital for the project. This information made BOE shares up 1.94% in the latest trading session. Currently, the BOE's market capitalization is about 13 billion USD.
