Apps that slow phone speed and efficiency.

I have noticed that some apps,once installed,they tend to slow down the phone.One of the apps that did this to my smartphone was a virus removal and cleaner app.I had to uninstall the app in an hour after downloading it.The same happened with a certain version of tacking app.Is this common?

Depends on the apps really, and the amount of other apps you've installed and have running in the backgroung. It could also be your phone's memory. If you don't have a lot of memory, then any big app will slow down your phone. If that's the case, I would check if your phone is able to have additional memory, by buying an SSD card to expand it.
