Hello Rodney,

Lock screen on Android help to protect your smartphones with a password mean that you have to enter a password to login. The following post will help you set up a screen lock password on Android.

Note that each device has different operations so you can leave comments to receive instructions if this post is not the same with your device.

Step 1: Go to settings on Android.

Step 2: Choose Protection, on some machines is Security.

Step 3: Lock the screen.

Step 4: Select the lock method. Here you choose Pin, the other method is similar.

Step 5: Enter your pin code.

- Enter the pin
- Confirm the pin

Step 6: Touch Done to finish.

So you've done your password reset on your Android smartphone.

Hope it helps!

Great answer to the question!

To the writer of the topic, I would always recommend setting up a lock when you buy a new phone and use it for the first time. Today's phones should ask for your PIN first and then immediatly ask you if you want to set up another lock (aside from your PIN), followed by all the steps you need to take in order to set one up.

Hello Rodney!
Here are some steps to set-up your Android lock-screen password:

1. Browse through the 'Settings" of your Android smartphone.
2. Look for the "Security" tab and tap that tab.
3. Choose "Screen Lock" after that, choose "Password".
4. Input your desired password. (REMEMBER: Do not forget your password. Better write it in notebook.) Then tap "Continue". On the next prompt, you need to confirm your password so, just input/type the SAME password.
5. Then tap "OK". You have now a password lock-screen.
